My Newborn Essentials: What I Use as a First-Time Mom
Hello! My name is Rebekah.
I want to take you through the brands and items I use as a First-Time Mom.
As of this writing, my daughter is 2 months old. All items mentioned are not sponsored. Some are gifted, bought or hand-me-downs.
While I was still pregnant, I did a lot of research, and I mean A LOT! I watched YouTube video after YouTube video, read blogs, and asked friends and family who already have kids what’s the best brand to use, and where to buy them. Luckily, I didn’t have to do trial and error with different brands because my in-laws, friends, and family gave different brands as gifts! I was super grateful.
When my husband and I welcomed our daughter on March 1, 2024, we had already picked what to use. These items suit our lifestyle and condo living situation.
I hope this helps any first-time mom out there, and encourages proper planning to avoid any budols. It can be overwhelming with the wide range of products and brands online, so I’ve divided them into categories based on where they can be used.

My husband and I don’t skimp on health, so we’ve invested in these items.

Clothes and other items
We didn’t realize that it was a NEED to have multiple items of one thing, for example, Onesies, we have at least 15 pairs right now. Why? we need to be prepared to change her at any given point if her poop or pee leaks out of the diaper. It’s essential always to have fresh clothes to avoid rashes.
Brand: SwaddleMe
Swaddles
Brand: Enfant
Lampin (I don’t know the English for this sorry haha)
Brand: Gifted
Lots of Onesies
WOW. That’s A LOT of stuff, haha! Glad you made it this far into the blog :)
These are just some of the items that my husband and I have and use daily. I never expected it would be this much, but that’s the reality, haha!
We focused on efficiency and multipurpose items to avoid buying too many things.
We also noticed that our daughter is growing SO FAST! She will outgrow most of the things within a few months, so it's recommended that you buy items second-hand. Hand-me-downs are the best, too. You can find good deals for some items on Facebook Marketplace and Carousell.
For those thinking of getting pregnant or are pregnant, I hope this helps with the decision-making in buying things for your baby. Life as a mom changes your perspective; it makes you grateful for the little things and realize why your mom did what she did when you were a baby. As a new mom, I’ve just realized how grateful I am for my mom.
